Around 70 new trees are being planted in carefully selected locations following a site survey. This latest initiative adds a natural touch complementing recent infrastructure upgrades in Wamoon, including the Wamoon Sewer Scheme (completed in 2023) and road improvement works (completed in 2024). A recent safety upgrade saw Council, working on behalf of Transport for NSW, relocate the McQuillan Road cycle path crossing over Yanco Avenue, just north of the McQuillan Road intersection. The project was initiated to enhance safety for both cyclists and pedestrians by extending the existing path 120 metres along the western side of Irrigation Way, creating a safer and more. accessible new crossing point. Works included new safety signage, hand rails, pedestrian refuges in addition to the footpath and cycle path re-alignment. We thank the community for their patience during construction.
