GRALEE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER TERM 1 TODAY FO What a lovely way to finish week 8, with the celebration of Harmony Week. Our school was bright and colourful with lots of staff and students adding Orange to their outfits and hair, and Harmony Day artworks on the walls and doors. We also received Welcome back to our families and the Also, in Week 4, the senior students had a visit from Senior Constable Jasmin Hussain, the students learned all about the weapons that police carry and how and why you should contact a police officer. Then of course the students got to check out the paddy wagon, and Andrew requested lights and sirenst community to 2021 - hopefully a year that is back to our usual busy best! Welcome to our 3 new students: Gemma, Matilda and Jackson. During Week 5 we held our Personalised Learning and Support Plan meetings. This is always an excellent chance for families to meet the staff in Also, we welcome new teachers Marina Cook so much food to share; thank you to our wonderful families who sent in not only food, but little stories about their culture, it was truly heart-warming. (Red class), Anthony Byrne (Green), as well as the return of some familiar faces in Nichole Onwuekwe (Blue Class), Heidi Heath each class, and set goals for 2021. (Yellow Class) and Emma In Week 9 we travelled to Wagga to participate in the Activate Inclusion Sports Day. The day is designed for students with disabilities to try different sports that have been adjusted to suit their needs, and was a lot of fun, despite the wet weather pushing all activities inside. Mandaglio (Yellow Class). A big thank you to our P&C Bus Committee We started off the year with our 2-week Intensive who have financially supported the school in creating a Gralee Bus run. This supports swimming program at Whitton Pool. Students were able to develop their strokes and improve their diving and floating ability. Congratulations the students who are unable to access We finished the year off with an Easter Art parade, and a BBQ lunch, to our primary students who competed in the Small Schools Swimming Carnival in Week 4. They completed many laps of the pool, cheered on their friends, and had fun playing with peers from other schools. Well done to Isabella, Sakiusa, Albert, Jackson and Jayden. the Assisted School Transport Program. The aim is to ensure that ALL of our and we can't wait to come back and students have the chance to attend do it all again school at ALL times.
