Our students have really loved the opportunity to get out of the classroom and enjoy fun and creative activities. Our Welbeing program aims to assist new students to activities at Yanco Public School, it encouraged the school who may need a ittle support in building social connections with their peers, Classroom teachers select students each week to participate in the sessions on a needs basis. They have a zest for ife which results Recently our school foyer has been upgraded and in their taking advantage of opportunites to grow and develop, to advance their knowledge, skils and amtudes in all areas of learning Term Reward Day Fun Students who display positive behaviour throughout wo plan to use this space to permanently display student artworks and make our own special galery to brighten up the entrance to our school. the school term receive an invitation to attend our end of term Reward Day. The Reward Day is alwaya a fantastic way to finish the school term ona positive note. For example in Term Two, fitness and the outdoors was the focus our theme for the day was Wheels Fun, students came to school with bikes scooters, roller blades and we also had a skate board or two. Term Two was a very different term for all of us, students and stat alike were very much looking forward to some fun activities to round off what had Highly Effective Learning Support At Yanco Publie School we pride ourselves on our highly effective Learning Support program. An experienced teacher is employed two days per week to support students in their Literacy and Numeracy learning. The small group and one to one sessions of learning support allow teachers to dedicate more of their teaching time to woek of Term 4 Yanco Publie School students had the undance of fantastic achievements of all of our small group and individual differentiation of teaching opportunity to participate in water fun activities at in the classroom. It has been very pleasing to see the our local splash park. been a very chalenging but successful term of learning Our students erjoyed a bike ride along the bike track next to the school followed by Round Robin activities on the school grounds. We all enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch and a relaxing afternoon of play. In the last Yanco Publia School Facebook Page Social media became a crucial form of communication for our tamilies this year. We were able to share an v our classroom students via short videos and photos on Facebook. We received so many amazing comments for our students hard work and resilient attitudos to leaming. School Excursions Thanks to the easing of CO-VID 19 restrictions all students at YPS had the opportunity to participate in an exciting and fun excursion event Home Learning Yanco Public School teachers were really proud of our students and their families for the way they had taken on board such a dramatic change to everyday ife. Many our students continued to share images of their learning online to support and encourage each other. Teachers at Yanco Public School were very pleased with the effort and commitment that had taken place to continue learning trom home. Learning Support News This year K.1.2 had the opportunity to visit several of our local educational sites: Narrandera Wetlands Narrandera Koala Park The John Lake Centre at the Narandera Fisheries Grong Grong Earth Park The period of isolation gave many of our familes time to slow down and spend quality time together Marie Bashir Park as a family. IR has been really inspiring to see al the activities happening at home. Families are regularly shared their learning journeys on our school Facebook pages. It was fantastic to see the unique way learning was happening tor each of our families. As well as sharing photos oft completing paper and online tasks set by beachers students were sharing photos of their food preparation, arts and craft, physical activities and outdoor play. Parents and carers did a fantastic job setting up home learning spaces for their children to better their opportunity for learning at home. Spon Students learmed marny new and varied skils which in the bigger picture will build young people who are capable, better able to adapt to change and resilent.
