COUNCIL NEWS LEETON SHIRE COUNCIL HAVE YOUR SAY NOTICEBOARD HAVE YOUR SAY COUNCIL REMINDER Yam Powerwust Mus 25/26 LOCAL HERITAGE GRANTS RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED Three Applications approved Council approved three applications for funding assistance totalling $10,300 as part of the 2025/26 Local Heritage Places Grants Scheme at its October Ordinary Council meeting. Applications for funding assistance were received and considered by Council's Heritage Advisor Noel Thomson in conjunction with the Leeton Shire Council Heritage Committee. The 3 applications approved by Council were: Erection of safety fence around chimney at Yanco Powerhouse Museum ($1,300); External timber repair works at gable end and repainting of the north façade to the historic "Hydro Hotel" ($5,000); Replacement of flooring at the basement of the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery (LMAG) to help the Leeton Family & Local History Society preserve Leeton's historic documents by addressing pest/vermin infestation threat ($4,000).
