These public meetings will coincide with his second visit to Leeton and will be a forum for the community to hear from Professor Drew about the University of Newcastle's Financial Sustainability Report for Leeton Shire Council which was published in August 2025. No bookings are required. "These two public meetings will give members of our community the opportunity to ask Professor Drew questions about the recently published report, the work of the Financial Sustainability Advisory Committee, and any other queries they may have regarding Council's financial position and the steps ahead." Excitingly, the pools at the Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre are now heated by brand-new solar heating systems that will not only deliver better energy efficiencies but also improve the heating capabilities of both pools. Operating hours and admission charges for both facilities can be found on www.leeton.nsw.gov. au or by calling Council on (02) 6953 0911. Season passes for the Leeton and Whitton Pool are now available to be purchased online at http://bit.ly/LSCPoolSeason Pass or alternatively from Council's administration office.
