Gralee School- 2020 Year în Review Term 1 Term 3 Term I was certainly the Term of Change. It started with a lot of face changes: 5 new shudents, 3 new teachers and 2 new SISO's. was fun leorning about these new people and the classes settled into learning early in the term. Peper received her Senior Uniform as our only Year 12 student this year she joined Connor os our school coptains this year.Our P&C finally received our new uniform, and distributed a P&C Pock to every student in the school We have hod a lot of community members comment that they love the colours, and we do too! In Term 3 we took to regular walking trips to get outside of the school grounds. We celebrated Education Week by Learring Together in gardening, crating, playing sport, octing and cooking. Our School Coptoins were given Directors Awords, for being such supportive school leoders In Week 4 we hod our Wekome Dinner, with S0 people attending. our statf and P&C cotered the event which was a great opportunity for new and old families to meet the new staff and each ofher. Our 2-week intensive swimming program commenced for serior students: Whitton Pool was a great place that catered for our needs, and the staft were very friendly and helptul. We also started our Griffith Pool program for our Junior students ond our Hydrotherapy students on a fortrightly rolational basis In Week 8 we celebrated Hormony Day by sharing letters with The Ponds Schoof in Sydney. We inducted our SRC for 2020, and our students look forward to geting together to organise fundraisers in the future. This term we were lucky enough to commence our Work Experience and Transiion program. We are dedicated to ensuring that our shudents transition into work, or a disoblity support peogrom when they leove school that is chollenging enjoyable ond appropriate to each and every student's needs. For this reason, our students begin work experience in Year 9 or 10 and continue until Year 12. They are given the opportunity to try different employment options ond support programs. We work in colloboration with the students themselves, parents, and NDIS support to ersure that everyone is hoppy, and prepared for lile oter Gralee School This term, our students visited Mitre 10, Kurrajong Services in Norrandera, Live to Dye and Grifith Post School Options. Students ore supported by a School learning Support Officer at all times, and use a Gralee bus to aftend each site. They are also taught skils in communication, work skils and personal hygiene, before and ater ottending their program. The term ended with visit from Heolthy Harold.
